How to define your body?!

Question: i exercise at the gym regularly like 3 times a week and i always work out until im sore. im gaining muscle and body mass but thats really im looking for. i want to look more defined and not just have a excessive amount of muscle like one of those OD body builders. ive been lookin up stuff on the internet but the explanations vary and there really isnt a clear way. i even read somewhere that the reason ppl arent tone is because they have to much body fat. i noe this aint true cuz i have like 6 percent body fat. how can i get more defined?

How many sets and repetitions are you doing? To bulk up, typically you want to use high weights and low reps. In your case, try doing 4 sets of 15 reps for each exercises. Also try to incorporate different exercisers to keep your body from adjusting to a particular one. Cardio will greatly assist you in cutting up. 3-5 45 minute sessions a week is ideal. Do some research and find out what your optimal heart rate should be throughout your cardio for the best results. Diet is very important as well. Losing those last few pounds to cut up is very difficult, you must be tedious. I wish you the best!

sumtimes its better to stick with pushups and situps..
all that weightlifting stuff should be taken a break from.

eat lean food thats how brad pitt got so cut for fight club. it wont give you as much muscle mass, but you will be more defined, as if you were carved from wood

Definition = low body fat. So you must do cardio and eat right to get a low bf%

hmmmmmm

I'm slightly fat, otherwise strong and healthy.

250, 5'8", a lot of muscles though

swim a lot I think

ur body sounds fine define it the way u see it and the way that fits u best

Whatever you do, DO NOT BECOME ANNOREXIC OR BULIMIC! THAT WILL DO YOU NO GOOD! DONT STARVE YOURSELF EITHER! You should keep a healthy and balanced diet:
NO:
junk food-chips, McDonalds, etc.etc.
Fat or oils
BESURE TO EAT;
Protein (you do not want to look annorexic do you?)
Dairy!
CARBOHYDRATES!!!! YOU MUST EAT CARBS!
RUN AT LEAST TWO MILES EVERY DAY
work your abs and you butt! those get the biggest!

it's not healty to have only 6 percent fat in you

if it isnt already what your doing, try more repetitive strenuous work. for example, if you can bench a max of 200 lbs then instead of doing 195 or 190 a couple of times, do 180 5 times in three sets. do 5 take a break, 5 more, another break, and so on. you should also do cardiac work as well. running is always a good thing, you have to do something that gets your metabolism up rather then just lifting.

What do you mean by "defined" ? Bodily muscle can be built up taking a diet of excess protein, with lots of fruit and veg as well for providing energy and adequate micronutrients. If your muscle is not defined it may be due to hereditary characteristics as they influence muscle sometimes. look at you family, are their muscle's defined ?
