In a way yes, although muscle are heavier than fat if you have more muscle you can burn calories faster and will get used by the muscles, rather than getting stored as fat around the places you don;t want. You just need to build up your body muscle first which shouldn't take too long if you go gym and do exercise at least 30-45min a day.

The more muscle you have the more calories you can eat without storing fat. So in a way, I guess it's true

so definitely move around a lot more and get strong and then you'll lose your fat. or so i've heard...=]
