I have some realistic questions about weight loss?!

Question: I need someone who makes sense and has knowledge of the following weight loss questions.
1. How is it true that when you don't eat you can actually gain weight? If you have nothing going in, how can you get bigger?

2. How is it that you can gain 3- 5 pounds, but not eat 3 - 5 pounds of food?

3. How is fat truly burned off? I don't mean what to do to burn it, but what is the process and what is involved?

4. Starch isn't fat, so why is it said not to eat a lot of starch in weight loss? ( Besides the health factors)

5. I eat only a little bit of food each day, but I have gained weight. And I am gaining more than I eat lol. Like if I only eat a bown of vegtable soup everyday at the end of the week I may have gained 2 pounds. How is this possible?

6. This may sound similar to one of my other questions, but how is it that some ailments such as thyroid disease can cause you to gain weight no matter what you do? Even if you don't eat or eat right?

If your income exceeds your out-go, your upkeep will be your downfall every single time! It is impossible to gain weight if you don't eat. On the other hand, you may eat little, yet you will gain weight. There are many tricks to try. Metabolism is one thing that is tricky to diagnose. Thyroid problems will definitely cause problems and that's why it's important to give your thyroid the raw materials to develop, maintain and repair itself. I can help with all your questions, 75% all have one answer. Do you excersize? Do you supplement with anything? Do you sweat excessively at your work place? How active is your "daily life"? Give me a bit more about your physical body (with out getting flirty) and I'll help you out! Chromium and Vanadium, in the right form will help you out quite a bit with weight loss.

1) Your body will go into starvation mode. It will store EVERYTHING that you feed it into fat...I have no idea why people would do that to their bodies, they can, and will, cause pernament damage to it.

2) You don't Really gain 3-5 pounds. I'm assuming you weigh yourself a couple hours after eating...You didn't gain Really gain that much overnight; unless you ate a WHOLE LOT of carbs/sugar.

3) Fat is burned off by burning the energy (fat) stored in your body. That's why most people do cardio in the morning. Their bodies go straight to burning the only enegy source (since they haven't eaten), which is the fat.

4) I don't know much about starches.

5) You're gaining weight because your body is storing everything you give it away as fat. It doesn't properly get to digest the nutrients.

6) I don't know.

This may answer questions 1, 5 & 6

When you eat little amounts and not regularly (3-5 times a day) then your body thinks that its in a famine, so everything you eat will go into your body and stay there. Your body will live off this and your fat stores, but because its not getting rid of the waste it keeps everything there and it will keep building up so that overall you end up putting on a heap of weight instead of losing it.

If you really want to lose weight, then you need to eat 5 small balanced meals a day. A bowl of soup once a day just ain't going to cut it I'm afraid.

Question 2

It does matter on the weight of the food you eat, but also you have to think of everything that is in the food. Fat content, carbs, sugar, calories etc these all contribute to your weight. If you eat 2 biscuits every day, then over the course of a year you will gain approx 10 kgs (that came from a doctor at a nutrition day).

Question 4

If you don't exercise enough then the starch or carbs that aren't used turn into sugar which will then turn into fat as it hasn't been used. It is then stored in your body.

Question 6

If you have an inactive thyroid then you are prone to gaining weight all the time. Not eating right and not exercising doesn't help this.

sorry for not going through your question number system, food isn't the only way your body takes in weight, water and air both weigh on your body and like a sponge your body can breathe in and absorb both (also keep in mind on the moisture part that your body weight is primarily water weight, water makes up most of the body)

The answer to your question is simple. When your body has a constant food intake, it gets used to that much food being eaten, and to compensate it increases metabolism, which with daily exercise, helps turn that food into energy. But when you suddenly cut back on your food intake, the body thinks that there is a famine, and it begins to store up the fat to use as energy later, and that fat builds up on the stomach, your sides, and in your upper legs and butt. I guarantee, any doctor you ask will tell you, the best way to lose weight, get fit, and stay in shape is to eat regularly (3 meals a day), eat healthy, and most important, exercise regularly.
