I will have a baby in 1 month I need a very good diet to start on .?!


Question: I am 23 and weight 270 now with baby . before I got pregnant I was on an Adkins diet lost like 38 pounds felt great went down to 265 so I was almost like 290 before . I know that Adkins is not very good for your heart so if any one knows of a great diet please let me know . I felt and looked great loosing all that weight and can't wait to get started .

You have to eat healthy to lose the weight, doing exercises with that..

in the morning you should try and get 2 portions of Carbs.. this can be -beans, brown rice, 100% whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, and fruits and vegetables.. you can eat one fruit and a little bit of oatmeal if thats offered. that would be better than eating pasta first thing in the morning.. and you should maybe keep track of the calories. but to lose weight, maybe take 500 off of the calories you get daily. For lunch you should try getting some Protein. Protein comes from anything that was alive.. Such as - chicken, turkey, fish, lean cuts of meat, eggs and egg whites, milk, nuts, seed and beans...'
Dinner - you need to get some FAT put into your diet. Yes i said FAT, but i means GOOD fat (Polyunsaturated & Monounsaturated fats) the BAD fats are (Saturated & TRANS fats) stay away. good fats are found in -fish, nuts, olive oil, flax seed oil supplement, fish oil supplement..
30% of your daily calorie intake should come from the good fats.
1gram of Protein = 4calories
1gram of FAT= 9 calories..

For the CARDIO activity you should try and Jog, run, swim, walk, bike.. anything like that.. something done outside is good..

by the way, you should drinks alot of water, water burns calories.. (dont drink sodas, but if you HAVE to, drink DIET)

Try lean meats, vegetables, and fruits...and water. You have to stick with it...discipline is the key. You don't really need to starve yourself...that's not goin' to work at all.

Try to spread your meals out to 6 small meals a day. Try to include the groups I mentioned above in every meal one way or the other.

Once you get that together, you might want to incorporate some daily activity like walking. Once you get used to it, start jogging.

Remember, one step at a time, you'll get there. Once you get the jogging down, go to a local gym and take a look around and get comfortable with the machines they have...have one of the trainers show you how they work and have somebody to motivate you...its more mental than it is physical.
