How do I speed up my metabolism?!

Question: I heard of people eating a ton of food without gaining weight because they have a high metabolism. How can I gain a high metabolism like those people so I can eat a lot without gaining weight and burn calories faster? Do they take supplements or pills for that?

you have to be very careful here...
eat every 3 hours but only the following food groups:
1. protein
2. vegetables
3.whole-grains with fiber
4. fruit: only strawberries, melon, apples
5.broccoli
6. lettuce with low-sodium dressing or just plain vinegar
7. no alcohol
8. no diet colas
10. unlimited amounts of tea
11. add a few hot peppers
12. almonds but only (12) 30 minutes before a meal

good luck

i don't exactly know if you can gain a high metabolism?

eat food often (healthy foods)but not too much, drink tea,be more active

You can't. You can alter your eating habits and exercise routines so that you can burn the weight off faster. That way your body gradually burns it off faster.. .But failure to maintain such a regimine would ultimately lead to your metabolism slowing anyway.

Some people are just born that way, others have to work for it... Sorry.

try to eat around 5-6 smaller meals per day. this will keep your body constantly digesting. You'll always have a hungry feeling doing this method. Metabolism is the process when your body turns food into energy. People who eats little lowers their metabolism, because there is little food to convert.

You start by having a healthy breakfast (protein, fibre, fruit) to kickstart your metabolism for the day.

Sports and excersize are good.

Walk around, be busy. Lift things, carry things, take the stairs, forget stuff upstairs and run to get it. Ride your bike, run to school or work.

Eating a lot is possible, it is WHAT you eat, as well as portion size. Eat vegetables low in carbohydrates to fill you up. It is MUCH much better to get used to little portions though. Eating a lot and getting used to that is so hard to un-do and un-train.
Just eat until you are nearly full and always leave some on your plate. (yes yes yes i know this is rude in some cultures and it is also rude to whomever is cooking!)

you dont take pills for that you just have to excercise to get your metabolism going, i dont think you can make it peermanent like that though.

You canNOT gain a high metabolism. A high metabolism isthe kind I have. The small you are the high it is =3?
