that is not really all that big, maybe you should start walking for exercise and choosing healthy snacks and meals if you are wanting to lose some weight, but the older you get it is harder to lose weight; but dont obsess about it it will come off naturally if you exercise and eat healthy. i hope this helps

Well it matters about your height. If you are really small like 4'10 then you will most likely need to lose some weight. However if your like 5'7 then that should be okay. I'm not telling you to go on a diet because your only 10 but if you are small then i would think about just starting some activities and clubs to exercise just to get healthier and fitter. You are far to young to be thinking about weight just increase your exercise and you will feel and look alot better.

It is true that your body will develop a lot the next years, you will grow, and look different. You shouldn't think about your weight when you're that young.

Don't think about fat/not fat - think about whether you're healthy or not so healthy. Besides, your appropriate weight depends on your height, which you didn't tell.

Actually, another (some people say better) way to judge whether your body is healthy is to look at your hip-to-waist ratio. What that means is your waist should be a certain amount smaller than your hips. You can find a whole bunch of calculators if you type "hip to waist ratio calculator" in a search. If you decide you're on the not-so-healthy side, start paying attention to the kinds of foods you're eating and how much exercising you're doing. You don't need to radically change either right away - just start making a couple good choices a day and it'll get easier as you go along. Small steps will last longer!

Don't worry about it your still young, I think your parents are right, just don't eat too many sweets and you'll be fine. Just remeber on thing, don't go on a diet at your age it's not healthy.And again Don't worry your not fat when you get older you'll surley lose weight, just like my friend she was about your weight when she was at your age and when she was in grade 7 she was a new person taller and skinnier.
