Why is it that when I eat fats more and workout less I see more muslce mass and !

Question: I have been working out for over a year now and my goal is to get more muslce mass but still be cut up a little. It is so hard for my body to gain muscle mass. I work out about 5-6 days a week and eat 6 small meals a day. I eat very healthy. But I notice when I eat a lot of calories and bad calories at that I lose body fat % and gain muscle. One week I ate nothing but lasgana for lunch and dinner and my body was looking more bulit. Also, one weekend i ate nothing but chesseburgers and fries and again my body was looking nice. When I eat bad I will not work out for like 4 days in a row but my body looks great. But when i go back to a lower fat diet and work out i dont see that nice muscle mass and my body fat % stays the same. I usually eat a lot if friuts, veggies, good carbs, drink plenty of water, eat lean meats and chicken, fish. I am confused about this. Someone please explain this to me

low fat diets = low test production

when the fat intake goes below 20% of the daily calories testosterone production suffers. with decreased test levels the levels of circulating androgens in blood decreases which causes a decrease in the metabolic rate and over time a loss of muscle mass.

You don't look good BECAUSE you eat poorly. Also, your body doesn't react to what you do that quickly.

Start Using Optimum Nutrition's Whey Protein. Have 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. Do that for 3 weeks while you lift. You will see gains like you've never seen before from just lifting. You're in for a pleasant surprise.

You need energy to build up mass. It is possible, that you get more energy and respond better to low carb diet.

Also, you should consider that you are overtraining. Try to change your training plan a bit. Muscles grow not during time you are in a gym, but when you are resting afterwards. Maybe your muscles do not get the rest required, and they get a kick when you rest more.

After working out ur body requires fats and nutrition 2 grow and develop. Soon the bad cholestorols ur eating will start having a bad effect on ur body.
