Weight training question for bodybuilders?!


Question: Alright, my current routine consists of Biceps, Chest one day, then Triceps Shoulders another for upper body. I am doing 12 reps for my first set, then i go to 10, then 8, then 6, but i keep the same weight. My question is, is this routine good for building muscle or should I do something different. I obviously get results cause i work out everyday, but it seems to me its more like toning and its starting to piss me off

Yeah dude you are right, it is more of a toning workout.
If you want to get bigger/explosive strength-wise, you need to be working with heavier weight. Do something like 2 sets of 6-8 reps of something heavy, and move the weight down while keeping the reps at around 6-8. That's what I do a lot, and it works for me.

Also, don't forget to incorporate back in your upper body workout. Back is actually one of the most important muscle groups you have.

yeah, make sure you train your back aswell
