Do Fruits make you Fat?!


Question: I've heard that because fruit have alot of all natural sugars they do not relly help in weight loss. I thinkthis is crap but i was hoping one of you could clear it up for me.

Fruits are overall very healthy and they provide a good alternative to sugary snacks such as chocolate. Fruit itself however does contain sugar but it is all of a natural kind. As long as it is not eaten in ludicrous amounts it is very beneficial. Some fruit contain more sugar than others. If you are worried about weight gain bananas should be avoided as they contain more carbohydrates than most other fruits. As fruit contains fiber, it helps the bowel system to work efficiently and therefore constipation can be avoided. Medical research has proven that those who eat high amounts of fiber are slimmer than those who don't.

Melon-27
Satsuma-28
Strawberries-27

Not only are they effective in controlling weight they also contain lots of vitamins like vitamin C.

People who try to avoid carbs don't eat fruit because they have carbs. So, ignore those peopl - fruits have tons of vitamins and healthy properties so eat your fruit so that you don't die!

Well you could say that about anything. Fruit is however good for you so you should eat it.

fruits have good calories and good nutrients in them and thats why people are supost to have 6-7 servings of them daily

Fruit does have a lot of sugar, so if you are on a low-carb diet, you can't have much fruit. But they don't have a lot of calories, and the thing is, if you take in more calories than you burn up, you will gain weight, no matter what you eat.

Too much of anything can make you fat. But most fruits have a lot of nutrition compared to their caloric content. And they are generally low to no fat which has high calorie content. So the answer is generally no.

...yes fruits have naturall sugar but.......its better than a candy bar...and its easier to burn natural sugar then the sugar in a soda...candy bar....gummy bears....etc..u get my flow....:)

FRUITS R GOOD....

there is this diet thing...that says that fruits clens you digestive system and that u should every 3 months take a 3 day diet were u just eat fruits and water.....BUT DONT DO THIS UNLESS YOUR DOCTOR SAYS SO.....ive tried it and it feels great after......I REPETE DONT GET MAT ME IF U GET SICK....TELL YOUR DOCTOR FIRST.....MAKE SURE U R OK TO DO THIS....
