I need to get in shape, Loss weight, and start getting healthier! How?!

Question: I am fourteen years old and I am starting to notice that I am gaining weight, I was fine with a little extra pudge, but I haven't STOPPED gaining weight. I'm also starting to get stretch marks on my legs, I took this as a sign. I Need a plan so that I can get in shape (no joining sports though), eat healthy (WHAT am I supposed to eat and look out for?), and loss some weight before June. After all Summer IS coming and I want to look my best, It is a year for change for me to! Another question, how do you lower the fat around your hips, legs, stomach (lower mostly) and the upper part of your arm???

Could you possibly give me a schedule of healthy things I can do at different times of the day all day and everyday? (remember I am busy most days w/ school)

The key is diet diet and exercise.

You need to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Eat some protein with each meal! Cut out all refined sugar!!! Also add more fiber. The fiber and protein will fill you up, helping you to cut down on your unhealthy eating. Also by eating more than 3 meals spread out through the day you will kick your metabolism in high gear. Here is a general meal for a day:

Breakfast: 2 poached eggs
whole wheat toast
1/2 cup fruit

Snack: Cottage Cheese with veggie

Lunch: Turkey, lettuce, tomato, whole wheat bread sandwich
1/2 cup fruit

Snack: Protein Shake

Dinner: Turkey Burger ( no bun )
Side of brown rice
Side of Broc.

Then exercise regularly 4-5 days a week. Do both cardio and lifting. But on days that you do both. Do lifting before your cardio and you will maximize your fat burn. Cardio can be a sport: basketball, soccer, football, anything with losts of movement. Golf is a no no.

So Example :

Monday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Tuesday - 1 hour lifting
Wednesday - Rest
Thrusday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Friday - 1 hour lifting
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio

it is normal to see weight gain in teens your age...but if you are seeing that this is no ordinary weight gain and needs to be taken care of....what you need to do is reduce your meal portions, make sure you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the reduced portions...you also have to make sure to put 30minutes of exercise time a day way for you...exercise is the best way...its healthy and it really help...before the summer youll look better than ever...GOOD LUCK...and dont go on any of those diets...that would be the dumbest thing any one does...they actually make things twice as bad...believe me i know...

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss (it's actually a colon cleanse) and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it (it's 100% natural). The results were excellent. I lost about 20 pounds in 2 months with this detox. That's why I recommend you check this product at
http://www.easy-diet-fit.us where they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.
Good luck!

I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her (100% natural). I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. It's really a colon cleanse, and it's a healthy way to detox, not like most diet pills. Check their website at
http://www.fit-quick-thin.us , my aunt got a free trial and paid only $4.95 shipping and handling.

Hi there,

I think you might be getting a little mixed up with what you want exactly. You say that you want to lose "weight" but that means you might want to get rid of some muscle too. You then say that you'd like to "shape" (I'd call it tone) your body a little which implies you want to build some muscle. I'm not trying to pick at your question - I just want to clarify the point for you.

To answer it in the best way, I am going to look at it as if you want to get rid of fat AND build muscle at the same time. If you're looking to "trim" and "tone" your body, and espectially because you suggest you are not that overweight, I would suggest you start performing more intensive aerobic exercises such as jogging. I wouldn't think you need to change the whole way you eat or go on a diet because if you're wanting to build muscles - it's better to do it all with exercise.

Exercises like jogging won't exactly "build" your muscles on your stomach but they will help reduce the extra fat around there. Depending on how fit you are, you should go on daily or bi-daily jogs of around a mile. To build muscles, you should concentrate on anaerobic exercises such as sit-ups to help build muscles.

These muscle-building exercises will give your muscles the toning and training they need to grow and become more prominent. To start to see a real difference with sit-ups, you should be looking to do no more than 100 every day (more than that will often hurt your muscles).

If you stick to doing those two forms of exercise - jogging and sit-ups, you should see real improvements in a week or two. Remember, you should do them as often as you can (I.E every single day).

Hope this helps?
