i'm sorry but all those answers don't make any sense.
to understand how the body works, how you lose fat, what to eat, how to train, how to do cardio... etc, you need to spend YEARS educating your self...
If all the info out there about crunches burning ab fat, fruits being "diet" food, all the fad diets were working, and walking burns fat and tones your body, you wouldn't see any fat people out there now, would you?
I know hundreds of people going to the gym, doing crunches, cardio, lifting light weights to get "definition" and all that crap... after 6 months, they look the same... why is that? BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING, AND 99% OF THE INFO ON THE INTERNET AND IN BOOKS IS FALSE!!!
a woman at 5'5 would look "toned" (i hate that word), at 120 lbs with 12-14 body fat.. you can weigh 120 lbs but have 25% body fat and you will look fat/skinny if you know what i mean. to look "normal", i mean, not fat, or thin, and not look like you workout, you would weigh around 130-140 lbs at 18% bodyfat. at your current weight, and your current height, i would give you a minimum of a YEAR of hard work to acheive "normal" status, and probably 2 years of work to acheive "toned" status.
they don't tell you it'll take some really hard work and a LONG time doing it in books or websites, because if they did, they won't sell and no one will want them. but sorry, that's the truth. i've been training people for years now, and whenever i see a client rushing for results and says "well, my friend lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks" i just tell them to ask their friend how they did it, and never come back to me again. and usually, they beg to come back because they took their body to a different level of ugliness.

If you need help, contact me... i'll write up a beginner program for you.

Food wise, fruits...stomach crunches seems to be the trick for getting ride of excess unwanted weight in the tummy section!

first of all you shouldn't have to feel like you have to loose weight to feel beautiful and wear a bathing suit. Some people respond to exercise differently and just because you exercise and are not skinny doesn't mean your not right or not beautiful. Take some of the strongest atheletes like shotputters and 100m sprinters theyr not skinny but they are amazing and I admire them. I find people that can kick *** awesome so get out those tae bo tapes - even go to a martial arts lesson....
