What would be a good weight to AIM for as my goal?!


Question: Hi, I am a college student who gained more than my "freshman 15". I would not consider myself overweight, although I am definitely pushing the average/overweight line. In clothes, I like normal, but not nearly as good as I use to. I am 158 lbs now, with a Body fat percentage of ~29.2. My waist is 32" and my hips are 37". I am starting to eat healthier and exercise more, but I want to set myself a very firm goal for 5 months from now (I'll be going on a cruise and would like to look my absolute best.)

What would be a good weight, bmi, waist, hip size for a 5'5, 20 year old female?

As long as your BMI is no more than 25 and less than 18.5 you are ok.

I say about 130 or 135, 27.0 BMI...Good Luck!!

i would aim for 150 but NO MORE THAN THAT!(right now) and don't expect to do it overnight. on days you aren't so busy, grab a friend and go for a jog around campus. when you get your food for the week, get a good breakfast(special k?)a good lunch (a sub?)and a good dinner (anything BUT fried food). try not to eat out too much and stick to 500 calorie meals with a few snacks in between. drink about 8 cups of water each day and do some situps and pushups every day. set a goal and REALLY REALLY TRY. good luck!
