IS running 25-30 miles a week good?!


Question: I have already asked this question but i forgot some details


Is running 25-30miles a week good? I run 7 miles twice a week in about 45-50min and then i run 4 miles tuesday-thursday in about 25-30min my brother who has had his track letter since sophmore year can't run more then 2 miles and said i have a fast pace is this true? is this at all any good to run this much?
I have been told that it is bad for you legs.

I am 17 years old 5'11, 175lbs

yeah, your pretty quick and have good endurance if ur tellin the truth. i dont see a problem with it as long as your only running like 4 days a week and eating enough food. keep up the good work. its not bad for ur legs if u use good form and wear good shoes with thick socks.

Sounds like you are at a good weight and are very healthy. You should be fine! If you wanted to cut down, you could, too...

Running is hard on your joints but I wish I could run that much.

I'd say keep it up.

I think a track coach from school can evaluate you better than Yahoo answwers

I'm so jealous =) but yeah i mean i run about 3 miles a day and I'm fine. as long as you fat enough nutrients you should be fine.
