In theory, it sounds like a great way to lose a ton of weight really fast. However, it doesn't take into consideration that your body is not going to react favorably to such stringent conditions. In the beginning, you are going to lose weight at a rapid rate...but after a while, it will seem like you hit a plateau. Than, you won't be losing as much weight as you were previously...until eventually, you will be able to eat practically nothing and still gain weight. At that point, your body has decided that there is a famine going on and it's only chance for survival is to turn down the metabolism. Without it, you are going to start gaining weight on your low calorie diet...and if you go back to your old eating habits, you will gain even more weight and before long...you will be bigger than you were when you started.

This isn't meant to be rude. I'm just telling you what happened to me. I didn't believe it and continued to fast and cut calories really low. After a while, it didn't matter what I ate...I gained weight. It's taken years to fix that mistake and now I am with weight watchers and losing weight the appropriate way...eating the proper calories for healthy weight loss and exercise.

I honestly hope you don't make my same mistake.

I'm not trying to be rude, but you'll probably lose a couple of pounds initially but then have a hard time because your body is in starvation mode. 800 calories a day is not enough for a person to survive on and be healthy.

It really just depends on your activity. Just remember that a pound is equal to about 3500 calories. There are calorie calculators online that can tell you how many calories you burn from watching tv or walking or sitting. Then just determine the difference between the amount you eat, and burn and then you can multiply/divide and determine weight loss.

People think that eating way less, and not giving their body enough protien and caleries is good. This is completly untrue, ask any dietition, they will tell you small HEALTHY meals will help in weight lose. Not little meals with little caleries.

You may think it is enough, but for any teen, and adult, you need much more then 800 caleries to lose weight, Even if you think differently, your body will not lose weight on that kind of eating habit. You may even gain weight.

depends on your metabolism, if you eat many meals a day then it should me a fast metabolism and you could lose wieght, but only eating 4 times? try eating 6 times a day that way your body does not go to starving mode and you can have a fast metabolism

I am sorry, I need more information to answer this question properly. Age, weight, gender, activity level/intensity or type of exercise are very important. Please. consult a certified personal trainer of weight management / life style consultant, or nutritionist in your area. They can help you best. Having been in the health /exercise industry for some time now, I can tell you that 700 to 800 K calories a day while burning 600 K calories a day is not healthy. I am not trying to be mean, I am trying to be absolutely honest and simple with you.

You're not going to lose weight, you will gain it. Your body is in starvation mode, and will not let go of any calories, you need to eat at least 1200-1500 calories to lose weight.

Remember that your brain consumes about 20% of the calories you take in, and you don't want to starve that!
