Why have my joints started clicking?!

Question: I am really REALLY unfit, but i recently lost a load of weight and am now only 5 lbs over my ideal BMI - so not particularly heavy.

I'm now starting to introduce some exercises to get me fitter, but i seem to have encountered a problem...

I enjoy doing push ups and yesterday i did about 5 repetitions of 20.

I just tried to do my first repitition and my elbow is clicking. Its not just a little click, its quite big one...

It not painful exactly, it just feels like my funny bone is being bashed and i really can't do more than one push up without it feeling uncomfortable.

Can anyone tell me why it is doing it and how i can stop it doing it as i'd like to continue with doing press-ups...

My position for my arms and back etc are all correct.

I take herbal tablets and have done for some time and I can say that they do help. cod liver oils tablets and devil claw this devils claw is amazing my mum had a knee replacement and its done wonders for her and helped with the pain she sometimes gets good luck

It's probably because you don't drink water when you are doing it. Usualy i get the same probablem my parents tell me it's from not drinking water. Or maybe because your not used to it but, don't wory I have alot of those problems and they go away. It will be okay just drink water, and be healthy as you can. Glad to help if it does keep up the good work!!!!

It could be that u have not been doing it long enough and you joints r nor used to it! Hope this helps!
