My self-esteem is going down and down ever since puberty.?!

Question: I'm a very healthy teenager who eats oats every morning and go exercising everyday.
I used to have a very toned body for a child but as i went on through puberty I gained a lot of weight.
You may say my weight is underweight for my height but that's not what i mean. What i mean is, my body seems to be getting rounder at the abdominal section.
I have a swimmer's shoulders and a toned-enough pair of legs but my stomach jabs out. It can look 2 months pregnant at times or even 5 months sometimes.
What is wrong with me?
And Now, i tend to like to be alone and get irrirated very easily.
I hide my problems to myself and hate crying in front of others (so i cry alone)
I used to be very loud and feisty but now (at home especially) I'm mostly moddy or silent. (occasionally I'll laugh and go feisty)
I love the outdoors a lot so i don't think it's because I'm indoors to much.
Sometimes I can feel very inferior and sometimes really superior.
I tend to be more emotional now days.
What is wrong?

A lot of people here can be so inconsiderate, I swear.

In any event, you're going through puberty. The body's developing and changing in so many ways, you're not gonna like what you see, or feel, at times.

You're also going through the menstrual cycle. I'm no expert on this because I'm a guy, but experience with previous girlfriends has shown me that women go through bloating and significant weight gain (that includes water weight gain) during puberty and the "time of the month" but it eventually tones down.

You'll see your hips profusely develop, curves in places you didn't think would curve, your body's sending good fat (remember, it's "GOOD fat") in all of the right places in your body, etc. A lot of things that make a woman... well, a woman. Unless you're constantly eating junk food, you're not gaining any bad weight.

Self-esteem is another major factor in puberty. As a teen, you're gonna have very low self-esteem, hence why schools are pushing to give kids a reason to believe in themselves (as well as build their confidence) these days.

The years go by, the effects of puberty lessens, and you won't feel like this any more. It's tough and it's a long process, but remember that it isn't forever.

Like the old saying goes: keep your chin up. You'll pull through.

You sound like an over emotional, erratic, illogical teenage female.

hormones and adolescence sucks huh? it will get better in your late teens and get better after that as you grow up.
