Single - day, full body workout routine?!

Question: Long story short, I know I'm only going to get to the gym once this week (tonight). I was wondering if anyone had a good workout routine that would get my whole body a workout without making me stay at the gym until all hours of the night? I'm assuming I'm going to end up doing some form of a circuit training thing?

yeah. I kind of alternate between the Abs Diet Workout which is all about Circuit training and the circuit training workout from LL Cool J's Platinum Workout and both are pretty good. They are pretty much the same workout but the Abs Diet has more focus on the abs obviously.

For the abs diet workout, the only difference is that you do a mini circuit in the beginning of abs workouts. Five total (upper abs, lower, obliques, transverse abdominis [doing planks], and finally lower back.) Repeat 3 times.

For LL Cool J's circuit goes something like this"

Squats
Back (pulldowns)
Chest (bench press)
*Abs (crunches) don't do this if you're doing the Abs Diet Circuit abs workout
Triceps
Biceps
Traps (Upright Row)
Shoulders
Hamstrings (Leg Curls)

Rest for a minute and a half and repeat for a total of 3 circuits.

Then at the end, do maybe a 15 to 20 minute interval cardio workout.

You sound like you know what circuit training is so I don't have to explain it. If you rested after every set, you'd be in the gym for hours. I do this all the time and the whole thing usually takes me less than an hour and a half. Personally, I think interval training is good for toning up, burning more calories, and building overall strength but as far as bulking up, it hasn't done too much for me. I think I should switch back to focusing on certain muscles each day. Good luck!

A once a week, full body workout won't turn you into a hardbody, but it will maintain muscle tone. Hope you plan in the future to work out with weights 3 or 4 times a week, for about an hour each session.
But a good full body workout, that I use to "maintain" when traveling is the following:
3 core exercises) 1) Squats (3 sets of 8 to 10 reps.)
2) Deadlifts (3 sets of 8 to 10 reps)
3) Bench Press (4 sets of 8 to 12 reps.)
6 focus exercises 1) dumbell seated presses (2 sets of 10)
2) E-Z barbell curls (2 sets of 12)
3) Tricep pushdowns (2 sets of 12)
4) Lat pulldowns (2 sets of 10)
5) Dumbell shrugs (2 sets of 12)
and
6) Raised leg crunches (2 sets to failure)

Bets of luck.

I dont know if it'll help Jim..I go to Urban Active (formely Golds), and they have a 20 step full body machine program laid out... I use it pretty much daily... you can do the whole body in about 20 minutes...or do several circuits in an hour to an hour and a half to go for some burn......
