If I want to gain weight should I increase my protein and calories?!

Question: I've been body building for quite some time now and I want to pack some muscle on without losing my abs. Can I lower my reps with GREATER weight while adding cardio twice a week?

Absolutely. Heavy weight and less reps equals mass gain. If you want to gain weight, you need to eat about 5-6 meals a day, with alot of calorie intake. It depends on your weight, but I weigh 200 lbs., so if I want to gain weight, with my 6'3" 200 lb. frame, I need to eat a total of 4,500 calories min. a day. Also, when you are lifting heavy with less reps, do pyramids. Meaning, first set 10 reps, second set 8 reps, third 6, fourth 4. You'll mass in no time.

It really depends on your body type, and if you have plateaued. Sometimes backing off and doing a more moderate exercise routine allows your body to catch up on a long backlog of repairs and improvements to make.

Do plenty of research, and make sure your are challenging your body in new ways so it has no choice but to be stronger everywhere to handle all the challenges you throw at it.

try coltien bars and milshakes that make you gain wieght do it the proper way dont just eat all junk. while your doing that the weight will come on and start working out before so the abs wont fade away. OH yeah if you do choose to drink the shakes dont drink alot of them they make you pack on weight drink like 2 then you should see a little differnce same with the coltien bars they make you gain like 10 pounds in like 15 days it should tell you about it on the label anyway and drink LOTS of water:)
