How do you lose weight when you have no time to exercise?!

Question: I'm currently in school and I find it very hard to make time to exercise because my schoolwork is just HEAVY. And so is my weight. Well I need some information about anything like "walking". What times are best for it? I can't run everyday because I'll get so tired when I get home and then bogged down by homework.

What are simple things you can do or eat?

If I just exercise on the weekends, would that be enough for me to lose about 10 lbs? Or should I just keep this weight (which is slightly over) and wait until summer.

I'm going through the same problem. I'm in high school and I find it hard to get daily exercise routines and healthy eating habits. i try to walk every other day, around my block 3 times. i do it around 5. after i finish my homework. you can also buy an exercise maching (i have the gazelle glider) and use it whenever you have free time, even if it is 20 minutes. just listen to a few good songs and use it. so i guess during the week, everyother day. and once a day on friday, saturday, and sunday. good luck :)

I think best thing to do would be to start eating right. You can lose a lot of weight just by eating right alone. There are websites that will tell exactly how much caloric intake you need in order to maintain, or lose weight.

just eat spinach or salad for 1-2 months........it worked for me...

usually if u have a lot to do, you loose weight because your constantly active...fresh year of uni when i wasnt use to the work load instead of ganing 15, i lost 15 beacuse all i ate were nutritious snacks and maybe one evening meal.

all you need to do to lose weight is only eat as many calories as you use durring a day. There are calculators you can find online to find out your caloric needs. Also make sure the calories you eat are good calories, like whole grains and lean meats, not empty calories like soda and fastfood.

You have to pay attention to what you are consuming and besides walking there is simple exercises that you can do
at home that require little time.

In order for that to be possible you need to get on a fat burner and diet. Walking is not enough to lose fat. There is always time to workout during the day, whether it be 10 minutes or an hour, so that is not an excuse. I am a student as well, 15 credit hours and i hit the gym 2 hours a day. Im sorry if you cant run, but you should consider it. It is the best thing for you. If you want to lose 10 lbs, at your schedule it would take a few months.

Just eat all the right things. And just throw in exercise while doing your homework or whatever else you're doing. Like, while reading, do leg lifts or something. You'll be amazed at your progress. Just start now and then when summer comes, you'll be prepared to kick it into high gear. Good luck and just have fun with it!

stay away from fried foods, frozen prepared foods and heavy amounts of bread.

sandwiches are okay, no mayo easy on the cheese. lots of lunchmeats are lean nowdays.

salads, kraft has great fat free dressings.

fresh fruit fresh veggies. buy only enough for a few days so it all does not turn bad right away.

1% milk.....no juices or pop.

water water water water water and more water.

your at school so get some friends and walk

I did a very low fat diet (6 grams or less per meal) for about 3 months and lost some weight, (about 35 lbs) without the extra excercise, but I imagine everybody is different. I ate a lot of chicken breast and salad with non fat dressing. I found theres a lot of things to do with chicken and didnt get too sick of eating it. If I wanted a good meal once in a while, I took an Alli pill with it. Good luck!!

I BET YOU SPEND AT LEAST THREE HOURS A DAY WATCHING T.V.. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO EXERCIZEI BET YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO EAT.

MAKE TIME. And being tired is not a good excuse either. If your really serious about exercise, you should/need to do it despite the fact. I have and do work out, even when I'm tired. And you would be suprised to find that after a few minutes, when you get the blood pumping, you WILL feel energized and renewed. And if your trying to lose weight before the summer starts, you need to work out at least 3 times a week (at the minimum) even if that means jogging for just 10-15 minutes a day. Which I'm sure a 16 yo can make time for, (even the busiest of 16 yo's).

As to foods, there isn't anything specific that you should be taking. And you don't even have to stop eating the foods that you enjoy. You just have to watch your intake, how much much food you eat. Just because you can eat till your likely to puke, doesn't mean you should. And instead of eating the 3 standard meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner, duh) a day, eat several smaller meals throughout the day. Snacks, and when I say snacks, I dont mean a packet of crisps or cookies. I mean an apple, banana, celery, carrots, something of that nature.
