11 weeks postpartum, start weight training or stick with cardio?!

Question: I had a baby 11 weeks ago, and at my 6 week check up was permitted to start exercising. Since then I have been going to the gym 4-5 times a week, running 2 miles and doing 1/2 hour on the elliptical machine. I also take my daughter for 3 mile walks 4-5 times a week. I gained 49 pounds during pregnancy and have lost 30 pounds. My question is, should I stick with cardio until I lose the next 19 pounds and then switch to a mix of weight training and cardio, or should I mix in some weight training now.

I am breastfeeding...any moms find this to help in your weight loss too? When did it really seem to help?

I just had my 3rd baby girl 9 months ago, I did cardio until I hit my desired weight, I loved swimming that was my all over body work out and it felt great too and I toned everywhere! Then I added my weights, But I would keep walking too! Good luck! sounds like you are almost there!!!! ?
