Well, if someone was a smoker, and they were addicted, but regretted it, they can tell someone not to smoke, because they'll regret it. It's the same thing, he probably doesn't want you to make the same mistakes he did.

that is messed up, but remember he is a GYM TEACHER so i mean really hes doin his job, 180 is a little heavy unless your completely swoll which i doubt u are

Sounds like you have more of a problem than he does, if the comment bothered you that badly than go talk to him and tell him it hurt your feelings. If your to insecure with yourself to do that, then stop complaining and deal with it.

Is this a rhetorical question?

i understand what you mean. but you are also younger too. its easier for you to lose weight than him. teens shouldnt be overweight wit all the runnin around and stuff they do.

No way, its like my dad keeps trynig to make me go for walks with him because he is a bit fat...and i am 14 and have a little bit of puppy fat...he doesnt understand that i dont need to walk with him, i walk around at school all recess and lunch every day

Or maybe he actually cares and doesn't want u to end up like he is....
u need to calm down, its not his fault ur overweight...

Also to the person above me, maybe he wants to spend time with u... walking around @ recess and lunch doesn't count lmao

sports teachers are suppose to be fit.

but you weigh 180, thats quite fat.

but if you feel comfortable in your weight, so be it.

I think you should let it be his own choice whether he wants to lose his weight or not, I also think he should do the same to you. Without knowing your age or height, 180 pounds sounds pretty normal.

Maybe he just doesn't want you to end up like him?

Take his advice to heart, I know it might seem hypocritical, but he's a gym teacher, he probably knows what he's doing.

chances are, if youre not really tall, you could stand to lose some weight. its not healthy to be overweight, will seriously cause multiple health problems. and even if your gym teacher seems hypocritical, he is right. just be honest with yourself: if you say you work out and really you dont, youre not getting anywhere. but if you are, good for you! cardio (running, swimming, dancing, biking, etc) is what burns fat. dont worry about your gym teacher, worry about yourself and your health.

i think you should take is advice and lose some weight. and then when you do, go to him and say, "your turn". haha.
but seriously, that's really bad that your gym teacher is saying that. tell your mom so she can complain to the school.

Wow. Obviously your weight is a touchy subject.

Honestly though, he's your Gym teacher. He's been educated a lot about health and fitness. He probably knows he has his own fat to deal with, but felt that he was obligated to tell you that you could lose a few pounds. Perhaps he didn't handle it as tactfully as he should have, but then again from the looks of this post neither did you.

I'm not saying that what he did was right. But just take it with a grain of salt. Get over it. As long as you are happy with how you look and as long as you are happy with what you are doing to get yourself at a healthy weight, then who cares what the heck he thinks?

Why are you so mad? You shouldn't be so mad, calm down and only think about a gym teacher, and not a big fat one.

if he is aggervating you just tell him to go eat some more cheesy tots from burger king. call him a pig. i would then i would get detention but it would be funnier than a monkey cleaning his butt then sniffing it and falling over

Sounds like you see yourself in him and that's what is really bothering you.
