Now I'm just a skinny b*tch.?!

Question: I just bought this book today called "skinny b*tch." And it MADE me want to go vegan! Anyway, if I go vegan, only drink water/soy milk/home made juice, SERIOUSLY cut down on the sweets, and do 45 minutes of cardio 3 times a week, will I lose 8lbs by May 1st? *plz don't tell me to do weight lifting bcuz I'm just trying to lose fat, and NOT gain muscle*

*vegan is where u don't eat chicken, fish, cow, pig, dairy products, and any other type of meat crap. I still get protein by soy and vegetables.* MY FRUITS AND VEGGIES ARE ORGANIC.

weight: 127
height: 5'3"
age: 14, female
I'm healthy, I just need to lose some of this extra baggage.

just cut back on fat foods and pops ,sugar and eat the veggies and fruit

i've been vegan for 9 years, trust me it's better for you, the earth, and your intestines. btw the average for your height is 115...100 pounds for every 5 feet and 5 pounds for every inch after that, i think you're fine! i'm gonna need to get my hands on that book!

YOUR 14,AND ONLY WEIGH 127'' THAT'S GOOD.!!!!!!!

It's great that you want to increase the amount of organic fruits and veggies in your diet!

You don't really have a question, but I will gently point out that your young body is still developing and you will need to be very mature to eat a proper diet. Just because you cut out meat does not mean you have improved your eating habits.

Your body needs a lot of iron (which is available in some veggies but the body does not absorb it as easily as from meat) and protein. It requires discipline about adding the right things to your diet, not just removing meat to be a responsible vegan or vegetarian.

Good luck and please be sensible

Hey hon! You def need to do weight training. Don't worry, you would have to do astronomical amounts for it to show. What strength training does is make your workouts more effective. Even your everyday activity (walking or going up stairs) will be more effective because your muscles are stronger. Make sure to do this or you will be working twice as hard to lose weight. And yes, you can lose eight pounds by May 1st. Also, it is better to do a little every day (ie. 20 minutes of different kinds of cardio daily) instead of 45 minutes 3 days a week. I know you want to try this program but being vegan isn't the best way to lose weight. I would at least eat FISH. It is really good for you and it has proteins that you can't always get in soy. I also recommend lentils. Good luck:)

P.S. your weight sounds on the low side for your height and age. it isn't that great too diet to much when you are still growing.
