Have a question about me and my diet?!

Question: well im 19 yrs old and to be honest im not counting calories or anything. just basically stopped drinking soda and drink only water and sometimes Diet lipton green tea. when it comes to eating sometimes i dont have time for breakfast so i have a meal replacement bar with proteins. then usually have a healthy small lunch and then a nice healthy dinner.

i work out almost everyday.

30 mins on the treadmill

then i do some lifting (chest, biceps, tricepts, abs etc.)

i have been doing this for about 3 1/2 weeks now. and i have lost 12 pounds. so its looks like this

1 week - 261 pnds
2 week - 258 pnds
3 week - 254 pnds
now this week (4th) i weighed in at 249-250

and i had just weighed myself yesterday and i was 249 but i weighed myself today and now it says 250-251

does your body usually go up in pnds when your on a diet? or do u think my body could be getting used to the way i eat and is now adjusting to my workout and diet? am i just worrying to much and just need to keep at it?

Congrats on your healthy weight loss that is number one!

Now on to the answer to your concern. After multiple weeks of exercise and dieting, your body is going to hit a plateau and that is completely normal.

As far as the weight "gain" you saw today that most likely is just water. Remain conscious of your salt intake. If you ate food with a great deal of salt your body is going to retain water.

Also be conscious of what time of day you are weighing yourself. Measurements should be done at the same time each day (morning being the best time).

In addition, you really should not be weighing yourself everyday. You may become obsessed with a number rather than your overall health. 1-3 lbs loss per week is what is considered healthy and not too rapid.

You are still doing very well. Do not be discouraged! Please try not to measure your progress strictly by a number on the scale!
good luck!

Guess what? When you're vegan, there's no need to count cals, fat, or any of that crap. Just read the ingredients and you will pee in your pants from the results you'll get in a month or less!

wellmost likeley you are now gainig muscle but at the same time loosing the fat good job keep going and add a different work out rouiten it will help and wont get you board with the one you do usually

Everyone's weight fluctuates by a few pounds every day. It can have to do with what/when you ate or drank last, when the last time was you went to the bathroom, what you were wearing, etc. A few pounds here and there, don't worry about it. don't weigh yourself every day, the daily fluctuations are pointless.

Heck, going to the bathroom can sometimes make you lose a couple pounds right there! In short, don't worry, the weight is coming off just like it is supposed to, well done!
