Is Creatine bad?!

Question: I've been weightlifting for football and i was using Creatine supplement stuff, but a few of my friends told me it was bad for you. That it could cause some sort of cancer and that when i stopped using it the muscle i gained with it would go away. Is any of this true? is there any other problems with it?

Everything in moderation is the key to life. Creatine is not an herb, mineral, vitamin, hormone, or steroid. Creatine is a natural nutrient found in our bodies and the bodies of most animals. Approximately 95% of the body's creatine supply is found in the skeletal muscles. The remaining 5% of creatine is scattered throughout the rest of the body, with the highest concentrations in the heart, brain and testes.
The human body gets most of the creatine it needs from food or dietary supplements. Creatine is easily absorbed from the intestinal tract into the bloodstream. When dietary consumption of creatine is inadequate to meet the body's needs, a limited supply can be synthesized from the amino acids arginine, glycine and methionine. This creatine production occurs in the liver, pancreas and kidneys. Best time to take a creatine supplement is before, during, or after a workout, although a creatine supplement will work even if taken at other times of the day. Because it helps build muscle, it is true to take a two week break from any intense regiment. So long story short, use creatine in moderation, as directed, take a couple weeks break from it after a month. Then if you are really concerned because of side effects or any changes that are not good, consult your doctor. Hope this helps

do cycle that means take creatine a few weeks and rest for 2 weeks, but you can't do this forever at some point you need not to use supplements
you should eat meat then red meat contain creatine naturally

No Creatine isn't bad. It's naturally produced in our bodies. If you want the benefits though, use it for about 4 weeks, STOP for 2 weeks, and take it again.
NO, the muscle won't go away, that doesn't even make sense. Muscle goes away when you stop using it and when you aren't eating enough; forcing your body to consume muscle mass for energy. As far as cancer, who knows? For all we know soda somehow causes cancer, or cell phones. Only a LONG time will tell.

I don't think that your muscle will go away as it is not made of that creatine, but yes there are side effects if you take to much of it. Read this here:

You do not need the extra to build muscles, natural protein like meat, chicken, fish, beans and milk will do just fine and definitely be enough.

When I was in highschool I played football and thought about creatine. The physical trainer said the creatine you buy is bad. the only healthy creatine is what you find naturally in seafood.
Anyway she said that creatine builds every muscle in your body and when when you stop all the muscles in your body start to shrink and lose stregnth. the heart is a muscle, therefore creatine is bad for your heart.

Hearing that made me not use creatine.
