You dont need to lose weight your at the right weight but ur body fat is a lil high. Just a cardio workout will do. Run a mile do some crunches and push-ups Daily exercise will tone you right up. GOOD LUCK!!

im 14. and im 6'0 , 170lbs

Lazy...

Hahahahaha.....You fat son...but....more cushion for the pushin.

Since you're a boy, you probably have more muscle and 145-160 pounds is fine for you. Especially since you are still growing, it's best not to mess too much with your weight just yet.

If you really want to, you can tone up your body by powerwalking on most days of the week, stretching your muscles all over pre- and post-walk.

um if ur a guy id workout just go for a mile run 3 times a week and you should weigh about 140. go for that mile run, eat mostly greens, and fruits and meat too but stay away from those sugars

somewhere around 145 to 150 depending on body shape

See a doctor or trainer at a gym and ask them the questions you have here. They can help you develop a perfect, CUSTOMIZED diet and exercise plan. If you do the plan as instructed, you will get to your ideal weight.

Dude, I wouldnt worry about it. Im 14, 5'4'' and weigh 120, and im underweight. Its not that bad.

well my mom is the same size and my dad is a couple of inches more so about 140-160 will do.

You are 35 lbs overweight. The older you get, the harder it is to lose weight.

Food is fuel -- if you eat more than you burn, you will gain weight -- guaranteed. Burn more than you eat, and you will lose weight -- again, guaranteed. So the answer to your question is to eat less, eat healthy, and get active.

your about the same weight as me and ive been losing weight

okay basicly EAT TONS AND TONS OF VEGGIES
i found that making smoothies using 100% fruit juice ice and fruit is amazing only 150-180 calories per serving and it tops you off for a few hours

also try walking places the mall is great biking swiming working out a bit too is good

any questions add me at nickbertin_2@hotmail.com

I'd say 145 or so, depending on muscle mass, b/c obviously muscle weighs more...I would recommend (b/c it is working for me) that you cut all soda from your diet and most starches like pasta and bread (at least for a while). Also do 30 min of cardio about 4 times a week

maybe u could loose about 20 pounds just like walk a little every day and watch what you eat

For someone 5'6", 160lbs is the max standard weight. As for fat %, 20% fat is max for that height. But since you're only 15, many things can happen to you and your body. It all depends on your activities, metabolism, and food intake.

Around 145 pounds. You can lose it with the free program on the National Body Challenge online.

just be sensible, and watch your portion sizes. You can eat whatever you want, as long as you watch the portions. Well you should eat a lot of protein, so why don't you just do this:

eat 8-9 portions of carbs per day
eat 4+ portions of vegetables per day
eat 8-10 portions of protein per day

one portion of carb is 30 grams
one portion of vegetables is a half of a cup cooked, one cup raw
one portion of protein is like one ounce of meat, or 1 cup milk, or a half cup of cottage cheese

check out this website, it is for girls, but there is a ton of great information for losing weight and staying healthy

www.iemily.com

according to a online height/weight calculater the ideal weight for a person of your height, and age is around 130lbs

150?

Honey - this is something you can't get your advice from the web on - at your age you really need to be under the care of a physician to make sure you're not JEOPARDIZING your health while trying to GET healthy.

There are no miracle diets, there are no miracle exercises, and under no circumstance should you be taking any pills.

Make sure first that you are heart and lung healthy - then get out and exercise. Honestly - ACTIVITY will help tremendously to condition your body.

Just do it ALL under the care of a physician, okay??

Hey! Don't listen to the scale it's not accurate when it's counting body fat... The correct way to see how much body fat you have is to do this weighing thing they do at some hospitals where there's an underwater scale and you stand on it and that's the most complete accurate way to find your body fat percentage.

go there =) it will tell you how much you are suppesed to weigh and it will help you lose weight! good luck!

unless you are realy stocky thats just a little much, i was 5'8'' 150 approx at that age. if you realy want to lose wieght and are to lazy to look up your own diet, then you probably are to lazy to follow it. no offense just my opinion. but if you realy want to lose wieght go to bodybuilding.com and type in cutting diets in the search window should be 6-8 small healthy meals a day. cardio 20 min a day or every otherday will help speed things along. 40 min would be even better. get plenty of sleep 8-10hrs for your age and drink lots of water, its good for you anyway.

thanks for clarifying that you are a male. that makes a HUGE difference.

well if you are a boy and have 30% body fat...that means that you are a little over weight. first how would you describe your body type? slim/slender athletic type/fat if you are slim slender atletic body type...then its muscle that is weighing more. if you are a little chunky then obviously you are a little over weight.

you should weight atleast anywhere from 135 to 150 for being 5'6" (your age doesnt matter).

if you think you are fat...do physical work. eating healthy is 80% of how to lose weight! drink LOTS of water also. after you work out take some protein to help build muscle mass (if that is what you are aiming for). working out gives you natural endorphines and natural endorphines makes you a happy person.

good luck

I'm 15, 183cm, 150 lb, 10%fat

diets are too hard to follow and the more you do them the slower your metabolism will become. don't do it. you don't sound obese, so i think you should try a healthy way of eating instead of a "diet"
for breakfast have:
a whole grain cereal and 2% or skim milk
scrambled eggs with turkey bacon
whole grain waffles with fruit
there are a variety of options to choose from. just stick with whole grains, lean proteins, and fruits and vegetables.
don't start your day off with a bunch of sugar and processed junk , ei. No Pop Tarts or Lucky Charms
For Lunch have:
A turkey/chicken/roast beef sandwich on whole grain bread with lots of veggies
A couple slices of pizza with some meat, but mostly veggies
Add some fresh fruit
Again, tons of options, just some ideas.
Same thing for dinner- Lean protein, Whole Grains, Healthy Fats, Fruits and Veggies. Fill up on the healthy stuff and if youre craving something sweet or salty have it, but just enough. Don't sit in front of the tv with a whole bag of chips or bag of cookies.
Make sure you get a good amount of exercise. Anything that keeps you moving will do the trick.
Cut out soda entirely if possible. Even fruit juices and sports drinks are full of empty calories so keep consumption to a minimum. Drink a glass of water first whenever you feel thirsty.
Stick to this and you'll be on your way to a lower BMI in a few weeks. BTW- all of this is assuming that you currently do not eat a healthy diet. And a scale cannot give an accurate reading of body fat. you really need a body fat caliper to get that. the reason is because a scale doesnt take fat/muscle ratio into account.
good luck
