Calves and Abs everyday?!

Question: I have heard that it is o.k. to train calves and abs every workout day. Is this true? Do they repair faster then other muscles on account of how much they are used in every day life? Please only answer if you personaly workout or bodybuild and please answer this for a man. It is for my son who is blind but liked to lift weights.
Thank you for your help.

calf and abdominal muscles tend to be stubborn responders. If you do the exact same exercise everyday your body will adapt very quickly, but it's okay to train any muscle every day so long as you cut the volume of work down for each daily session and aren't doing the same type of resistance--e.g., you would do a high-load strength exercise on monday, a medium-load exercise on tuesday, a low-load speed exercise on wednesday, a light-load, high rep exercise to help recovery on thursday... you still want to take some time off though (one or two days a week)

People say you should do it every other day to let the ab muscles rests, but you can do ab workouts everyday if it doesnt make your stomach sore.

Lifting weights should be done every other day.

you can work out your ab muscles everyday. the only reason you let your muscles rest is to give them time to heal. during this process they repair themselves and get bigger. working them out everyday will only tighten your muscles up which is what you want for your abs. you dont want bulging abs. your calves on the otherhand are used everyday so it will take alot to make these grow. heavy weight is the best thing for making muscles bigger. but, your calves will even take more work because you use them everyday. lots of reps and pyriamid your weights up and back down. remember to eat right also which includes eating the right amount of protein and carbs throughout the day.
