Question: Or fat anywhere else?
What other exercises can i do everybody?
I do about one hour 4 days a week of exercise in school, and at home i have homework and other stuff, so i dont really have time at home?

If you're feeling the pain but not getting any gain, maybe you've fallen for a gym mantra that's more fiction than fact.

"Can sit-ups help me to get a flat stomach?"

Okay, this is perhaps the most popular myth I have to deal with. By performing sit-ups or "crunches", you are helping to strengthen and firm up the rectus abdominus muscles, more commonly known as the "six-pack". But crunches will do absolutly nothing to reduce any amount of fat you may ever have on your tummy. Abdominal fat is there because of excessive calorie consumption, so the only way to get rid of it is to burn off the calories by following a balanced diet and performing high- intensity exercise such as running, cycling, aerobics and swimming.

However, there is one trick that can help to give the appearance of a flatter stomach. Underneath the rectus abdominus lies a band of muscle called the transversus abdominus. Also referred to as the "corset muscle", the transversus abdominus helps to keep the back strong and compresses the abdomen. Exercising this muscle regularly can help to improve your posture and make the stomach appear flatter.

Suck in your stomach, so that your belly button is drawn towards your spine. While the stomach is sucked in, do not hold your breath, just keep breathing normally. You will know you are doing this properly when you begin to feel a minor burning sensation in the deep stomach. Once you've mastered it (the breathing can take some practice), you can do this exercise anywhere and it will help to flatten your stomach and improve your posture.

yes your abs

sit ups and crunches have ZERO effect on belly fat.. they're pointless. Cardio and a good diet are the only things that work

It will strengthen the muscles underneath the fat. To lose fat you will need to burn calories doing cardio, such as walking, jogging, running, dancing, aerobics...etc.

they tighten your stomach mussels, so it helps to do them along with some cardio and a good diet.
try to squeeze in a short run or walk.

i think it does help lose belly fat.

oh ya here's a fact:
laughing burns calories. so laugh as much as you can. hahaha

The only way to loose fat is to take in less calories than you use up each day. Hence eating a little less fat and a little more protein and fibre, white meat, fruit veg etc along with jogging, walking etc to burn more calories. BUT sit ups etc will increase the amount of muscle you have and when you exercise the more muscle you have the more fat you burn, so it will help a little. Also they as your muscles harden it will help your shape change for the better (toning)
