What is your best on the go snack?!

Question: A banana. They're a great energy booster, they come in their own container, they don't have to be washed, they don't have to be refrigerated, and they taste great.

Nuts. Nothin but nuts.

i agree with the nuts, or dried fruits, or a slice of multigrain bread with a lil jam

celery with all natural peanut butter.

A bag of trail mix (M&M's, nuts, marshmallows, raisins, berries, pretzels, Goldfish, Cheerios, etc.) works just about anywhere. You can buy packs of nuts and berries from the store or take any of the above items and put them in a bag to go.

probably almost anything u can find in a convinince store

i luv those Quaker rice cakes their healthy and delicious!!!!

A cup full of trail mix is a very good snack..they usually have raisins, nuts of various types, m&m's, dried fruit of various types. It's just enough to fill you for a snack and packed with nutriton.

Here are a few of my favorites:

1. a few nuts
2. baby carrots
3. a piece of hand fruit
4. a serving of homemade whole wheat spicy pita chips
- Take a mini whole wheat pita (the extremely small ones that are ~60 calories) drizzle a few drops of olive oil on the pita and sprinkle on cayenne pepper, chili powder, and garlic powder. Bake in the oven @ 350 for ~12 minutes. Let cool and break the Pita into a snack bag.
5. For the caffeine addict: a small (8 oz) nonfat cappuccino. BTW starbucks still has the short (8 oz) size but you have to ask for it as they no longer advertise its existence.

Fruit is always a good choice, nutritious, easy to digest, healthy and tasty.

For me, it's either organic all-natural granola bars from Trader Joe's (I usually keep one in the diaper bag) or dried cereal, if I take the time to pour some in a plastic container before leaving.

Bananas are good, as well as dried fruit.

Sometime, when I get the time, I'm going to make my own trail mix of Cheerios (or store equivalent), Honey Nut Cheerios (or store equivalent), soy nuts, raisins and semi sweet chocolate chips. This way, I have more control as to what goes in it.
