15 yrs old and 110 lbs.?!


Question: i know im not over weight at all, i am average. i play sports all yr round so i have a lot of muscle. im satisfied with my athletic body but i do have some fat on my inner thighs (quads and hamstrings). how can i loose this (not tone) it before we break out the bikinis?

will squats and lunges everynight actually help? if that is the case how many of each should i do?

please share other ideas

This is a two faced question...you want to get rid of fat [because you don't like it] and yet you "are satisfied with your athletic body..."

You are being a little too critical of yourself...love yourself for who you are...

Lunges and squats will help but be careful with your knees...Do them in small sets of what you are comfortable with and there is no major pain. Perhaps three or four sets of 13 with a few minute intervals in between each set.

The squats will probably work the quad muscles on the front and back of your thigh more than your inner thighs...

If you got a bag to hang and were to practice kicking it this might be better. As time goes by, you can raise the bag to improve your reach and endurance...

@ 15 yrs old you shouldn't even worry about it. you're body isn't quite developed fully yet. squats & Lunges would tone it most likely.. combo of diet & exercise is always best way to lose fat

You should start swimming now, wearing whatever you feel comfortable in to do it; if you have access to an indoor pool.Both crawl and beast stroke, so long as you make thorough use of your legs, will do what you want as well as using up any excess calories along the way..half an hour of each three or four times a week and everything should trim up nicely.

Diet and cardio are the only ways to lose fat, though toning makes the fat parts look better. :) I wonder if you are imagining the fat because you aren't big at all.

Anyway...cut back your calories by a couple of hundred per day. SInce you're active you don't want to be drastic about it or it will affect your stamina and performance. Conversely, if your sports don't include 30 minutes of cardio at a stretch, perhaps just add in a little jogging or swimming to get your heart rate up.

stacy i disagree im 15 male and i way 107 and im healthy how i know that you ask bcuz ive just went to my doc yester day ....so id say dont be so jealous bcuz people way less then you
