Depends what your lifestyle is like currently. Just eat a healthy, balanced diet - aim for foods high in fibre, whole grains not white, lots of nutrients, cut back on sugary foods/drinks, and stick with low-fat products when possible. And exercise regularly. Aim to engage in cardio exercise 3-5 times per week, and add in some strength training as gaining muscle helps you burn more calories at rest. Cardio= walk, run, bike, rollar blade, aerobic fitness class, high intensity dancing, swimming, etc.
Strength training = lift weights, use tubing, medicine ball, pr exercise ball - if you plan on going to a gym, talk to a certified personal trainer to give you some tips on which equipment is best suited for you; or you can look on the internet for exercises. If you are new to strength training try: bicep curls, tricep extensions, squats, lunges, pec flys, shoulder press, leg press, leg extension, sit ups, back extensions, etc.

eat healthy foods at meals and reject suger and bread or fattening foods. but also try to exersize 15 min. each day or work out at a local jym 3-4 times a week. but don't starve yourself or get yourself into an eating disorder.

Lifestyle change is the key to weight loss.
1. Dont eat fast food. Even a little bit is very unhealthy and will slow down weight loss.
2. Sweets in MODERATION. Actually look at the serving size and dont have sweets every day. Just when you really crave them.
3. Find a sport or form of exercize you like! Do you like swimming? Join the swim team! Do you like running? Join track! Find a friend to run with you every day! Do you like those corny workout videos? Go out and buy one!
4. Be more acive in regular activities. If you need something, go get it yourself. No more "Can you pass me the..." GET IT YOURSELF! It counts as exercize!
5. Avoid chips and sodas and junk food. They really effect your weight.

I also am a vegetarian, vegetarians often weigh less then those who eat meat.

I lost 20 lbs in a month by not eating bread and other bad carbs. You shouldn't starve yourself for your body will start storing fat. You can eat good carbs like what's found in vegetables and cut out the sugar. Eat fruits instead. Your body metabolizes them better. High fructose corn syrup is found in a lot of breads. Watch out for this!

you wont. that's a terrible, terrible goal. can't be accomplished unless you treat your body badly. just work on 5 or 8 pounds by summer...it'll make a difference trust me.

eat no more than 1600 calories and no less than 1300... eat protein (chicken, beans, lean beef). exercise 45mins to 90 mins 5 days a week. and try 30 mins of weights. running is the #1 best way to get overall shape.
