Should i benchpress my weight?!

Question: this would be ideal

Answers: this would be ideal

The average person should be able to bench press their own weight. If you are a fat man, then probably not, but if you are in shape, that is the right thing to do.

Just make sure you work up to it slowly so you won't hurt anything. My brother's 200 pounds (all muscle- he has a six pack- and not beer, either) and can bench 275. However, he's been working up to that for 3-4 years. If you want to be an ultra-strong, macho guy, you should set your goals for benching higher than your weight. But... if you can bench your current weight, that's still very strong. I surely can't bench my own weight! Though with my legs I can (I'm a cardio person.)

the average adult male can not bench their own bodyweight. if you can your BW while keeping proper form you are much stronger than most.
