Need help with self-discipline?!

Question: I am trying to get healthy and exercise and take good care of my body. I work out almost daily and I am getting fitter, but the only problem is my eating! I don't eat a lot or anything, but I don't have very good self discipline about sweets! If there is cake or something around I just have to have a piece! Is there any advice that can really help me to just say no and eat healthy and not eat as many junk food?

Great that you are decided to excercise, for me that's the hardest part!! The thing about junk food is that its so easy to eat alot...try not to keep it around. One treat everyday is not going to blow it for you.. keep that in mind. Also remember that all u really want from the sweets is to taste them!! you don't need a whole package or oreos to be satisfied with the taste! ... Think about what you're craving, or plan out ahead of time what your one treat will be for that day or week maybe if you want somethin a little bigger.. You can indulge just enough to get a taste, but not so much it ruins your whole day! Before you eat it, try and stop yourself and think how you will feel in the morning if you eat this... is it really going to make you feel better? or worse? chances are one bite will be enough to satisfy you as long as you don't sit and stare at the other half of the package. It will be there tomorrow... Hope that helps you out.

carry with you a 10-lb bag of flour to remind you of what weight gain is like.

i dont know if this will work for you but this is what i have done- stop eating sugar totally. even if you have to eat tons of fruit or crackers or whatever to stop yourself in the beginning when you crave something sweet, after about a week or two you'll stop craving sugar. what i also do is give myself a small sugary treat every 3 weeks so it gives me incentive- if i mess up within the three weeks, i have to start all over again
