How many grams of protein should I take?!

Question: I work out daily and have been taking protein shakes for a few months now but never bothered to actually learn how many grams a day I should be taking in. Im 20, 6'4, 170lbs, looking for lean gains. Thanks.

You should aim for 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight per day.

Well If you are trying to gain muscle you should have 1 gram of protein per pound you weigh. So you should have 170 grams day

the general rule of thumb is 1-1.5 grams of protein per lb of body weight (if you aren't really overweight).

usually, i would incorperate protein as a ratio and not a fixed number... so if one is eating 2500 calories, i would have it between 30-50% of their intake, which is between 190-310 grams of protein per day. the ratio depends on goals and how the person reacts to that ratio.

hope that helps

you should be drinking about anywhere from 50-100 grams a day. I have always heard you should have half your body weight so in your case about 80-90 grams.

you need to take 1 gm of protein for every pound of your weight. Go in for good quality protein like Hebalife's performance protein powder. For products & other details write to me
