Do I have to loose weight in order to loose inches?!

Question: I'm 16, 5'6 and I weight 130. I lost 10 lbs. by eating 1460 calories per day for 4 weeks and exercising(bike and occasional cardio for 25-35 min. 5-6 days per week.) But it all came of my theighs only! And I STILL have my big butt! What should I do? I look terrible! I don't want to loose ALOT more weight, just get rid of this big butt. :( Please help? Will walking take of inches?

The main thing here is that your 'big butt' is probably not that big so much as not toned. There are some huge muscles in there, and we dont use them near as much walking and cycling as we do our thighs.

To tighten and tone the butt you can do some exercises that target the area. Lunges and squats will work WONDERS. Look them up on youtube for video demonstrations of how to perform them correctly. Also, stairs will help. If you are going to a gym, use their stair master. If you have stairs in your house just go up and down them for 15 minutes then do a few rounds of squats and lunges. You dont need to lose weight for your height! You are a good healthy weight, so just work on toning what you have. You might lose a little bit, or, as you tone the muscle you might GAIN some (just a few tiny pounds)
but the shape will be toned and more pleasing with the exercise.

Good luck!
