Is it bad for you to exercise every day?!

Question: I do pilates or the treadclimber every day and I was wondering if it is bad for you to exercise every day. Pilates I will do anywhere from 30-40 minutes and the treadclimber anywhere from 25-40 minutes. (Treadclimber is like a treadmill except it has two planks, one for each foot, and they move up and down like as if you were walking on an incline, and I always have it on the highest incline) I also try and eat healthy too. I just feel really bad and lazy if I don't exercise every day, but if I know it is not good for you, I will try and skip a day a week or something. So is it?

no, you're supposed to exercise for 30 minutes each day to stay healthy! Good Job!

NO!!

u really SHOULD give ur muscles time to rest... so maybe taking like sunday off would do you some good

Daily exercise is one of the best thing's that you can do for your body and overall health.

f no homie, u gotta exersize evry day fool, lol

havnt u seen the commercials from shrek, get out and play an hour a day

I hear it is good to do cardio every day, but muscle building you should skip a day. With the exception of your abs, those you can work on everyday.

It isn't bad at all....it's actually very good. The human isn't supposed to be an inactive species....whether we were created by god or science.....we were meant to be constantly active and have a lot of exercise.

that amount of exercise sounds fine to me...if you work yourself really hard every day for long periods of time every day...thats a bit unhealthy but you sound like your doing fine.

you're perfectly healthy
go you! keep it up! yeah! :D

Cardio every day is fine, because it really isn't that intensive of a workout.

somebody said something about abs every day. NO. your abs are the same as any other muscle. train them in the 8 - 12 rep range at most 3 times a week

if you are doing those pansey little "ab circuits" which just burn from lactic acid and do very little to strengthen abs then you can do them every week.

hit a decline bench, put a dumbbell on your chest and do 10 reps. My girlfriend tried this a day ago and her abs are more sore then they've every been. and she trained abs all the time

try to incorperate some resistance training even if they are pullups, rows, squats, and deadlifts. any variation will do. you will really benefit from them and your body will become strong through all its movements

Over about thirteen hours a week is actually harmful to your health. Cells divide and regrow with exercise, and every time they do that there's a chance that they will become cancerous.

Not exercising, on the other hand, has a host of problems: it can lead to heart disease, diabetes, obesity.

The schedule you described sounds about right.

I do work out two hours at the gym everyday, im only 16 years old, female, do muscle building everyday and so far i don't see anything wrong with me. I'm kind of in the same situation as u are, i feel lazy if i don't exercise, i think i'm becoming an addict lol. But i think it would be good to take the sundays off. Im thinking about doing the same, although it wont be easy.

best of luck!

nope but rest every once in awhile , like once a week you don't want to over do it

60 minutes of daily exercise is needed for optimum health and fitness with several 30 minute sessions of high intensity exercise weekly.

humans beings are still animals and all animals are designed to be active...

If you consider the lifestyle of humans over the past 200,000 years and that we really have not evolved very much, daily exercise isn't just a good choice, it's the best lifestyle for survival.

I just wish that I'd follow my own advice.
