Hey ther i am 19, 145 pounds and really want to bulk up for the summer.?!


Question: i use creatine an weight gainer. would doubling my creatine intake make a difference or is that jus dangerous? i also workout in the gym. the area i need help in is wat reps and weight to use in order to gain mass? any suggestions would really help. thanks

It's really hard for guys to gain weight i know! And if you want to bulk up you HAVE to be consistent and eat A LOT! That means out of your comfort zone! You will be full a lot! And you will always be eating! Make sure it's protein...and since you're bulking up it is okay to eat before bed. Some oatmeal...or protein shake! You obviously have a fast metabolism, so you won't gain a lot of fat...but make sure you stick to healthy foods. Eggs, chicken, rice, tuna, beef, nuts.

Weights, yes, heavy heavy weight (maintaining good form) and low reps... you could do 5 sets of 5. or 3 sets of 6-8. Include squats and deadlifts in your workout please! And unless you're training for a marathon..keep cardio to a low because you will probably lose weight.

u really shouldnt use 2x of what is recommended when it comes to cretine. it is very dangerous. when it comes to gaining weight u have 2 eat the right things and do the right excersises. to gain weight u should do low reps and high weight to gain mass. if you use high reps and medium weight it is just toning ur muscles. hope this helps =)

All the 145lb 19 year old girls I know would do just about anything to lose weight!

I would suggest NOT using the Creatine. It's never good to put stuff in your body that you don't need. You can bulk up naturally! Add more protein to your diet. Work out with weights and work on building up muscle mass and body strength. Don't forget about cardiovascular exercises too!

No, doubling creatine intake is a waste. Creatine is a suibstance that the body can only use a certain quantity of. About 5 grams I think. If your body gets more creatine, it will just get rid of it and not use it at all. I doubt that taking more will acually hurt you, more likely you will just get gas or diarea.

There are lots of different techniques for weight gaining. I recomend looking yahoo. Find a website that is for body building enthusiasts. Like bodybuilding.com good luck

dont increase your creatine, but you should be getting around 150grams of protein per day, along with 5L of water.
(im around 125 pounds or sumthin, and i have 130g)

if you want to put on "bulk" muscle, and look big and ripped, you should do circuit training, or endurance type training which involved high repitition, medium weight exersizes (but should still be hard enough that your struggling to finish.
reps would be around 15 generally.

like you said gaining mass, or bulk, but dont confuse that with strength, too many people confuse the two!

the strongest man in the world is a lot smaller than a bodybuilder is, so if your goal is looking good, do what i told you, if you want to be strong, thats another story though you will get a bit stronger doing the above.
