I walk 2 miles 3 times a week but it seems like i am gaining weight instead of l!

Question: I am eating less. and i began this excercise about 3 weeks ago.

Answers: I am eating less. and i began this excercise about 3 weeks ago.

That happened to me too. I would suggest asking a pro fitness instructor or doctor. They told me to also stick to a low calorie diet (1250 cals a day) and I dropped 20 pounds in 1 month! Remember working out is great but to loose weight you must eat right too.
Hope this helps.

It could be muscle weight... unless you look fatter.

Muscle weighs more than fat. If you are getting stronger, then that's what is going on. I had the same thing happen. You're just firming up.

What is happening is that you are toning up your muscles which means you are gaining muscle. So as it appears that you are not losing, you are really toning up the body so you really are going to start looking better.

Hi there, normally when I excercise more I see a weight gain for 2-3 weeks, then a drop off. It seems like as I push harder, the body responds by building muscle, but at the same time you are getting rid of fat as well. You just don't see it on the scale. Many times I gain 5 pounds, but yet I go to the next tighter notch on my belt.

Don't give up, if you are more active and eating less its only a matter of time before the body works things out and you see some good results.

it's probably muscle. thats a good thing. muscle weighs more than fat and will burn more calories. keep it up! =)

Two possibilities:

1. You are gaining muscle. This would be the case if you are losing inches off your body (i.e. hips, waist, thighs)

2. You have slowed down your metabolism by eating too little. If you eat too little then your body starts to store everything it can. Try keeping a food journal to make sure you get enough calories into your body (ie 1200-1500 a day if female).

well if you notice that youre more jiggely than its fat and you should cut down on sugar and stuff if you already eat alot of it

its probably just muscle but thats really good to have so dont worry

Wow good job!! You gain muscle first then lose weight so im sure you will see a difference soon. Keep up the good work!!

try running because it burns more fat.run everyday and you would really see results.or do pilates.they're really easily and you only have to do it 3 days a week

The gaining muscles and your body fat percentage is decreasing. I know it makes you annoyed especially when you're putting forth so much effort but eventually you will start to see how your figure is fierce.
