Liquid calories burn faster?!


Question: Everytime I have a slim fast shake which is 180-190 calories depending on the flavor, I get hungry really fast...is this because its liquid? Does this mean I should eat more? Or is it okay because calories are calories? Because I don't necessarily want to eat more food but my stomach starts churning and that feeling is so annoying.

Solid foods DO fill you more. You might want to add so high fiber, low cal, low carb solids to your Slim Fast shake. Maybe some peeled baby carrots (45 cals per cup) and 2 or 3 stalks of celery (about 30 cals.) Both are high in fiber, which not only is good for internal health, but will give you that "full" feeling that you seem to be missing with just the shake alone.

I know what you mean! I think that you should try to eat somthing with the same amount of calories that is more filling.

It's probably because you didn't eat anything solid. You need to eat something that will give you continuous energy for several hours, not something that gives you instant energy and then makes you crash.
