If you are overweight/obese just follow the food pyramid and lay off the snacks and soda. Exercising will also help you lose weight.

(By "doing something with it" I definitely do not mean starvation.)

Well that all depends on you. You need to get out of the house and exercise and/or eat right. Just belive you can do it and you will do it

Do some weight lifting and then some cardio. Lay off the bad carbs like soda and potato chips. And if nothing else walk circles around your house in stead of in your mind. Just keep at it, study every web sight you can find on weight loss. And for goodness sake make your portions smaller this will shrink your stomach. Eat 5 x a day instead of 3. 2 boiled eggs w/ 1 piece whole grain toast, 8 oz of V-8 fusion. Then for snack 1 serving of fruit. Lunch- Veggie burger w/salad or pita chips. Dinner-Chicken w/sauteed veg. & salad. Last snack-Dark choc. NOT MILK CHOC and some green tea.
