Is this bulimia?!?!

Question: So, I used to be super skinny in high school and i gained a bunch of weight when i got out. Ive been dieting and exercising and have lost 20 lbs so far. This was my goal amount to lose and im fine with this weight, but in the past month ive been becoming really obsessed about what i eat and ive been purging some of my meals. Im just scared im gunna gain it back. I kno that the definition of bulimia is related to BINGING and then purging rite? I dont binge... i dont purge every meal... and i dont consider myself to be bulimic. Basically what Im asking is.... what would you classify my behavior as?

ps.... i kno this is really unhealthy for me and im definately not going to let it take over my life by any means... im just wondering what people think... so please give me some answers... i can take criticism too... whatever.

The definition of bulimia is not simply throwing up to be skinny the definition of bulimia nervosa is a habitual disturbance in eating behavior, characterized by frequent episodes of grossly excessive food intake followed by self-induced vomiting to avert weight gain. For a diagnosis of bulimia nervosa, episodes of binging and purging must occur at least twice a week for three consecutive months. This obviously doesnt make it ok. So you might fall into the EDNOS which is eating disorders not other specified or purge disorder which is purging without binging. I obviously am not a doctor nor do I have any medical backgroud so I, or you, or any other person on Yahoo! Answers can make the diagnosis. I would encourage you to seek out a health professional to help you with this. It can very easily take over your life so I would encourage you to get the help soon. Hope this helps

the def of bulimia is throwing up intentionaly so you can be skinny.

go vegetarian, that will help your body get better, better not to eat the death!

Bulimia doesnt have to be every meal or doesnt have to include binging. If you purge even a few times a month with the intent to lose a few pounds or for psychological reasons then yes that is bulimia. If you know it is unhealthy for you why do you do it? its sorta like smoking...people think they have it under control then all the sudden they are doing it everyday and cant stop. Bulimia can take over your life, you should figure out why you do it and then maybe talk with someone about it who your trust. best wishes

yes it is bulimia and it is unhealthy but so is being a vegetarian (you lack essential nutrients). I suggest you tell your parents and then you should consult a doctor and get help because this can become super serious (i have had experiences) so plz talk to a doctor.

Since I started to work out I was looking for a good weight loss product (I only wanted something 100% natural). I was on a diet but I felt that I needed a little "help" so I decided to try this great detoxification colon cleanse and I had fantastic results. You can check their website at
