Quick question about lat pulldown on home gym benches/multigyms..?!


Question: The lat pulldown bar seems way too low, so like when you're doing a rep the starting position for the bar is not very much above your head. It feels as if you're only doing half-reps or something when compared to lat pulldown machines in the gym. Is this normal with home equipment?

Unfortunately yes, some of the home use kit on the market is crap.

I'm pretty sure no one has any clue what you are talking about. Which home gym system do you have?

can you get rid of the bench and sit indian style on the floor?

Sounds like you need to adjust your seat, or maybe do it from a kneeling position, I have no idea how effective that is.

Not normal at all. You are missing out on some of the range of motion. Can you lower the seat?

just lean back and pull bar to your chest like a rowing movement.
