6x times a day (3 meals and 3 snacks) is optimum for health and fitness. eating smaller frequent meals helps to keep energy and insulin levels stable over the course of the day which increases both mental and physical functions. frequent meals allows the body to better utilize nutrients (vitamins, minerals, etc.). the body has no storage capacity for most nutrients it uses what it needs as the moment and excretes the rest expecting to be feed again in several hours.

6 meals a day. Helps keep the metabolism going.

3 larger meals and 3 snacks, you should try and eat every 2-3 hours that you are awake.

Definitely 6, it leads to a higher average metabolism during the day. You want to ALWAYS eat a good breakfast and dinner, try to eat lunch, and make sure to get 3-4 snacks throughout the day (ie. apples, granola bars).

if you are training for strength/power then 6meals
if you are trying lose weight then 3-4 meals.
