A Weight Loss Plan For Success

The formula for losing weight is simple: eat less and exercise more. But, it's not really all that simple, is it?

Long-term weight loss isn't impossible, but you do have to be committed. Having a weight loss plan for your success is a good start. Here are ten items that should go into your weight loss plan.

1. Eat breakfast. This keeps you from getting too hungry later and then losing control over what you choose to eat later in the day.

2. Stock your refrigerator and pantry with healthy foods and snacks and limit high-fat, high-salt snacks such as potato chips and cookies.

3. Fill up on Fiber. Eat foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains. The fibers in these foods will fill you up leaving less room for unhealthy choices.

4. Don't fall into bad habits on weekends. Many people will follow a strict diet on weekends only to fall back into eating more (unhealthy) on the weekends as a reward for "being good" all week. Unfortunately, this can cause you to regain tahe weight you may have lost during the week.

5. Watch portion sizes. Your perception of what a serving size should be and a "true" serving size can differ dramatically. Measuare your portions accurately, especially when you first start your healthy eating regime.

6. Set lifestyle goals - not weight loss goals. Commitment to eating healthy foods does lead to healthy weight loss -- gradually. Looking at your weight daily can cause discouragement and will make many people give up and go back to unhealthy food choices.

7. Take healthy snacks with you when you take road trips. Grab healthy granola bars, bananas, apples and other fruit to prevent the tempation of stopping for a cancy bar or milk shake.

8. Don't deny yourself the foods you love. If you absolutely love chocolate, go ahead and have a small pice - half of a candy bar insteaad of a whole one! And avoid eating your "splurges" every day. Save them for when you really need them!

9. Start moving. Exercise is the key to long term weight loss. You've heard the saying, "Move it or lose it." Too true!

10. Keep a journal. Writing down what you eat, when and how much you exercise and your moods will keep you on track and motivated to continue the course.

Weight loss is achieved by both diet and exercise. It is also achieved by persistence. If you "fall off the wagon" one day, pick yourself up and continue your healthy lifestyle the next. Don't give up!

Just eat healthy and increase your exercise.Riding a bike, play tennis,go swimming.Being healthy isnt a sickness! Dont obsess about the numbers on the scale. They are just numbers. You will look good and feel fabulous with a healthy body, not a starved, depraved one.

you sound underweight actually and you can try jogging to tone your legs!

why the **** do you wany to loose weight

if you have your period, thats why your gaining wieght. im 14 and i weigh 96. loosing 18 pounds is alot. To burn fat off of your thighs, try doing bicycles lying on your back, you press your back up to a wall with knees bent, you'll feel the burn in your legs.

I know how you feel too, cause i hate my stomach, but my friends say "your not fat!" but i feel like i am. just whatever you never go on crash diets or skip meals, it would make your body worse.

Are you 4'7" or 5'11"?? It would make a difference

you're 13 years old & 99 pounds??? you shouldn't be worrying about losing weight! just HAVE FUN! you are perfect! 18 pounds would be way too much, your parents would notice that. just go swimming, hang out with friends, you're 13, have fun... in a couple years you'll wish you could go back!

you are not fat- you're on a very good weight scale right now. if you think you're fat, you should try to tone up- not lose more weight. i definitely recommend pilates, Hit the Spot Pilates with Denise Austin, only ten minute workouts for as long as you want & it really works. only $10 at best buy

it will be hard but after its not you will feel great but...

just eat right

1. dont have soda
2. dont have sugar
3. drink alot of water (it helps your body clean its self)
4. drink juice
5. dont eat sour dough bread (eat whole grain or some thing like that)

and to help your legs run for like 30 mins to an hour a day like 3-5 times a week

Don't "Diet" to lose weight. Simply cut back on your portions. The entire meal should be the size of your hand. Cut out sweets and cokes and all that stuff, which will make you better off anyway. also--if you have "jiggly" legs, then walk more. 99lbs is not fat. you still have some growing to do and just start exercising. Everything will work its way out .

I can't help you, you must help yourself. This is not a way to live be happy with who you are and stop obsessing about weight loss. you must be confident to live in this cruel world, good luck and take my advice

Start exercising regularly and eating well (not eating less). Not only can you tone up your body and feel better about yourself, but you'll also have more energy and be happier all around. And it doesn't take that much time or effort. 20 to 30 minutes every other day is plenty for most people.

just try cardio like running, or walking up hill and just eat less portions then you usually would<3

just get out and play, you are only 13!!! i don't think you are over weight but just get your body healthy to keep your mind healthy and this will boost your self esteem and confidence higher by knowing you are taking care of your body and wanting to look healthier for you. jiggly legs is nothing, wait till you see stretch marks from child birth and varicose veins, you got nothing to worry about yet, weight will fluctuate in kids your age, just be happy with who you are and make the effort to "stay in shape" and eat correctly. drink more water too.

There is no miracle. The best way to lose weight is to excercise! You're only 13, get out there and join sports or swimming or something! You do not sound like you are overweight, and at your age you should be enjoying life, not worrying about that. Confidence comes from within. It dosen't matter what you look like, if you have confidence and walk with pride, people will notice you in a good way. For you to want to lose 18 pounds is not good! That's too much weight, and too high a number. Just don't eat junk food, cut out soda, drink LOTS of water, and get out into the world and have a good time. Before you know it, you will slim down and it won't even bother you anymore. I am 25/f and I was a little pudgy in school. But I had such a positive, happy attitiude, noone cared. Love who YOU ARE, and people will love you too.
