Take just cod liver oil capsules every day and keep a healthy diet that is sufficient to keep your colds at bay.

Yes you are wasting your money

a good balanced diet is all you need unless your g.p. say you are low on something otherwise give your money to charity

you might not be absorbing the vitamins u are taking.. and if they are from the drugstore they are probably so chemically processed..... if u are going to take vitamins u are best to go to a natural health food store.... they are the best place to buy them, GNC is ok but still not as good

Vitamins taken long term have no good effects (nor bad) but if you take them when needed (for instance Vitamin C when you feel a cold coming on) then they are beneficial

Yes they are a waste of money if you have a balanced diet.
As for colds, the only clinically proven substance to reduce the occurance of colds is Echinacea root.

No I don't think you are wasting time and money. It is possible that you are not getting enough nutrients from your diet. Lack of sleep could be the cause of your illnesses. There are many factors that could have the same affect.

Also it depends on what type of vitamins you are taking. You may not be getting ones that help boost your immune system.

I think as a supplement there are certainly worth it if you have health problems and where fresh food and veg is not easily accessible. However, nothing can replace fresh foods stuffs, but some people find that their bodies do not absorb as many nutrients as is required by the body for it to function properly especially people who take tablets for fluid retention as often minerals are often just washed out of the bodies system.... I talking about potassium and other such valuable minerals.

So in my mind vitamins are worth taking where appropriate to do so but certainly not just for the sake of doing so.

Waste of money unless you eat a truly terrible diet, are very old/ill or pregnant.

I'd say no, i took vitamins and got glandular fever! Just take them when you need them

I only take vitamin c tablets. I think vitamin tablets are good short term not long term. I usually take them in the winter and don't bother in the summer.

Only on a temporary basis if needed or you body after a while doesn't absorb the vitamins naturally. It's best to get them by food.

NO!
