I need to start exercising. What things should I start off with?!

Question: Hey, I am 5 foot 5 inches 245lbs.

I just started dieting and I want to exercise to go with it.

What can I do????

I walked today, but how efficient is that? I want to dance, but could you give me some routines???

I want to be 200lbs. by Octoberish.

Thanks!

Keep up with the walking, you can do it anywhere and almost any time. But push your pace so that it isn't just a stroll.
Include yoga in whatever you do. Some yoga is quite a workout, some is quite relaxing. You could take a class for 1 hour a week and then continue at home on the other days.
By dieting, you're already doing a great exercise: the "push away" (from the table!). Sorry couldn't resist!
Good luck!
p.s. 45 pounds in 7 months is a little aggressive. Shoot for one pound a week, your skin can keep up with your loss of body mass so you don't sag.

go 2 la fitness

as the 1st person said, go to la fitness, and get a trainer. trainers do work(for lazy people like me)

Walking is a great way to start exercising if you haven't in a long time.
You have to start out slow, at first or you may burn yourself out. Having a trainer is a great idea.

I would say walking is the right place to start. If you cannot afford a personal trainer to tell you what to do, the elliptical machines and bikes are a good thing to try.

I am trying to lose some weight also. I would say walking is a great way to start and watching what you eat. Also if it is hard for you to get to a gym(I know it is for me) then get you a treadmill or a exercise bike. I have been told treadmills are great. I am looking into getting one. Good Luck!
