15, 180 lbs and need some advice.?!

Question: I am 15 years old, 5'2 and weigh 180 lbs. I would like to lose some weight because I am at high risk for diabetes in my family, and I also wanna be healthy and look good. The thing is, I don't know how much I should lose to be healthy and how I should go about it! Can anyone give me a medical recommended weight estimate, or a website to help me out for free!

110-125 pounds...but that is an average person. Set a goal weight that you think is good, do what feels right for you. If you feel that you are at high risk for diabetes, then just go on a diet that suits you- not a crash one, but one that let's you have gradual weight loss. Make sure that you take in the correct amount of certain foods, exercise, etc. I'm thirteen, 5'10'', and I weigh like 170 but I am happy with myself. Just remember: love who you are and don't let ANYONE tell you you look bad or are fat or something because truth is THEY'RE JEALOUS. That's what I tell myself if someone says something like that about me. :)
