I saw a 25-year old guy that is 6'4" 295lbs with 7-12% bodyfat, is that!

Question: He is into bodybuilding, works out 2 times a day 4 days a week, jogs with a 180lb log 2-3 miles, and can bench press close to 550lbs, squat like 850-900lbs, can run a 40-yard dash in only 4.7 secs. Only takes MuscleTech supplements (which are not illegal or steriods, you can get at GNC) Man, I hope this isn't unhealthy.

No - it's not unhealthy. A lot of people use the Body Mass Indicator to determine if someone is "over weight" but you have to consider muscle tone into the factor as well. I'm 5'5" and weigh 165 - but have only 13% body fat. As a woman I'm on the lower scale of body fat because we have parts of our bodies that are complete fat (breast tissue) but the BMI indicates I need to lose about 25 lbs. I have a lot of muscle in my body because of my exercie regemin. My doctor does not consider me overweight.

This guy seems to be very balanced in his regemin since he's including cardio with his weight training. A lot of propblems with body builders is they work all of their muscles except the most important one....the heart!

Your concern is admirable! Thanks for the question!

no

Are you asking if the weight is unhealthy?
The hard part is, measuring body fat hasn't been something regularly done. So, while we know that a BMI over 30 is considered obese, this guy is not obese if he is only 7-12% body fat even though his BMI is almost 36.
Unfortunately, most research so far has been based purely on BMI in relation to health problems without taking into account the body fat of an individual. Normally though, people with lower amounts of fat deposits are healthier..
