Question: Im 17 years old. 5 feet 7 inches tall. and weigh 215 lbs.
I am sick of myself so ive been trying to change my lifestyle.
I used to drink 5-6 cans of pop a day, now none
I have been trying to drink 7 or 8 glasses of water per day
I havent touched junk food for about a week now.
I have managed to fit 5 small meals into everyday so far

breakfast:
-some toast
-some fruit (trying to have a variety)
-a glass of milk

Snack:
I take a small lunchbox with an apple, orange, kiwi, etc
and/or a serving of almonds and leave it in my locker and eat it between breakfast and lunch

For lunch
-1-2 servings of lettuce with barely any ranch,
-some of the fruit they serve
-some vegetable that they are serving
-the average carton of milk that every school serves
-the healthiest looking food of the three choices we get
afternoon:
-usually a carrot or some celery or broccoli, etc
big glass of water
Dinner:
poultry,pork, or beef
more water
small salad with a little ranch
beans

You might want to chill out on pork and beef and go for lean meat. Try some deli cuts. Also, fresh vegetables instead of can kind. *steam them if you like them cooked* Fresh fruit instead of can because of heavy syrup. On your salad, try dipping the lettuce into the dressing instead of pouring it over the top. I have cut back enormously just doing that.

If you want to go out with friends and eat healthy, the best place is Subway!

I know, I am on a diet myself. Good luck!

Sounds great! But remember that a break once in a while wont kill you. Add more fresh fruits in though. And green tea would be a great repalcement if you miss the soda.

sounds good
i am 15 and 5ft7 and i lost 2 stone over 4 months by eating a diet similar to yours...exercise helps alot too..just eat a but less, eat healthier and move more..it really is as simple as that! good luck :)

Instead of having pork or beef, have a lean meat.
Other than that, it sounds really good.
Just make sure you're exercizing, also.

try doing some doing some yoga. the day after I started my body was hurting but is also very relaxing and feels easy when you're doing it. do yoga that focuses on strengthening the abs and arms. I think you diet is great but try a vingerette or Italian dressing with your salad

I think it looks ok overall, but it would be best if you packed your own lunch, then you would know what you are going to eat. Bring veggies, fruit and protein (like turkey, chicken, tofu, cottage cheese..ect.). Protein helps you stay fuller longer, which is always good when dieting. It's good that you're eating a lot of fruits and veggies, but make sure that the dairy you are drinking is low fat or nonfat. Eat whole grains, like whole wheat toast, and exercise for at least 30 minutes everyday. Guys are lucky, because their metabolism is different from girls they are able to lose weight faster, so the extra weight you want to lose should come off in no time.
Good luck!
