Weight Loss Question... Answer Please!!?!

Question: I'm 16, about 5'6, and 150 pounds. I want to lose 20 pounds in two months. I started my diet of four small, healthy meals a day, exercising every day, and drinking as much water as I can. In these four days of my diet, my "tight" pants actually fit me. I feel better and my clothes fit better.
#1 The scale still shows me at 150, why is it not showing the progress I feel?

And...my stomach is flat, but I'm still wide (love handles and fat around the hips).
#2 Can I do something to make it go away, or will it come off as I continue dieting?

#3 And becuase I'm 16 (faster metabolism) do you think it is possible for me to lose 20 pounds in less than two months?

#4 And lastly, about how far into my dieting will I start to see results (2nd week, 3rd week, etc.)?

Sorry for all the questions. I'd like some really good advice please.

#1. The exercise may be tightening your body which will make things fit better even though you may not have lost any weight. Also, when you gain muscle, you will look thinner even though the weight may be there. The look and overall feel is more important than the actual weight.

#2. Both. Make sure your diet is one you can stick with. Avoid all processed foods, all sodas, all sweeteners, limit fruit, avoid soy products, preservatives, etc. Exercise should include daily core. Do push ups, crunches, pull ups, and leg lifts. Increase intensity. If you do cardio, keep in mind that after a few weeks you'll stop losing. Thats why building muscle is important, muscle continues to burn after a workout.

#3. It is possible but there are too many variables to say for sure. You can in 60 days though at the least, get toned and look like you've lost 20 lbs. Check out Dr. Mercola's website on metabolism. Follow that diet and it should do some real good.

#4. 2nd week you should start seeing results, but they will be small. It all depends on your body type, how much overall you need to lose, and your actual diet.

The main thing to lose the weight is the fuel (food) you put into your body and how (exercise) you use that fuel.

Tip: Only eat when hungry, only eat to get satisfied, never to get full.

It is completely unhealthy to loose 20lbs in 2 months, about a pound a week is healthy, you are doing everything right though, keep it up. I'm sure you feel better having all of that water in your system.

results honestly vary in people...everyone is different! Congrats on seeing a difference in the way your pants feel!!! Fabulous! Remember the number on the scale is nothing! it's how you feel....also you may redistributing fat into muscle which will make you look and feel better but may not affect that number since muscle weighs more than fat, so do not worry! Remember these couple easy rules: no meals past 8 (no carbs past 6), get your sleep!, eat fresh veggies fruit and lean protein (chix breast, fish), and incorporate weight training!! along with at least 30 mins cardio a day. Good luck!! make the healthy eating a way of life!

Your goal 2 1/2 lbs a week id doable and still healthy

So far your excercise has caused you to gain muscle but lose fat , muscle is less bulky so you weigh the same but are slimmer

As long as you use up more calories than you consume, you will keep losing fat.

20 lbs in 2 months is 2 1/2 lbs a week, and can be done without health consequences

You saw progress already with the pants, keep your eye on the scale, what your eating portions, and lay off the large water drinking, Water does not get rid of weight and if you drink enough you can disrupt the electrolyt balance in your blood, water is good but NOT LOTS you should take in 8 to 10 cups of "FLUID" a day....this includes moisture in food.
