Am I short or tall?!
Question: I'm 14 years old, and I am 5'6" or 168 cm. Is this tall or short? Over here in my place, I'm considered very tall. (Like 6 inches taller than average.)

They say that your father determines your height[or how tall you could get] & your mother determines your weight(or how much you can weigh).
In asia it is an average height, in western country it consider short. I am an asian, when I was 14, I am 162cm, now I am18, i'm just 166cm, sad I'm short!!!!

i would say it's average, but at that age it's very hard to determine what is an average height.
For that age I think it's average.
In my area: I am 14, and the guys that I know that are 14 are I would say, 5'7" to 6' ( I only know one guy thats that tall though :P Majority are 5'8" I suppose )

You're above average for your age. If you grow a couple more inches you'll be tall.
Well, the AVERAGE GROWN MAN in America is 5'8 so your not that bad at all! That's a tall height for your age. My roommate is 21 yrs old and he's 5'6 RIGHT NOW!
If I'm not mistaken the growth spurt for Men stops a little bit later than our female counterparts hence the reason why women develop "first".
I would say around age 18-19 is when you'll top out and it wouldn't surprise me if you end up 5'9-6'1 at your tallest. You've got a GOOD height for your age and I'm 22 5'9 right now.
If you want a good estimate of what you might end up for your total height, look at your parents/grandparents as GENETICS are passed onto you too. My Dad is 5'9, I'm 5'9, and my brother is 5'11 - Around the same ball park!

My oldest boy he was around your height at 14, the middle boy he was near or at 6' at 14, the youngest is 5'3" and has two years before he is your age.
Those are my boy and people are always saying they are big boys.
